ETC Compliance Solutions may be based in Arizona, but people all over the world have challenges when it comes to safety and environmental compliance issues. Two of our consultants had the opportunity to do a safety audit at a gold mine in Nicaragua in the summer of It was quite an adventure from the start, as Dave described when we asked him about it. One such place is a mine site in northeastern Nicaragua. You can get there two ways, one is by land over extremely rough roads that takes 16 hours of gut jarring travel and the other is by single engine aircraft in one hour and 15 minutes. Of course, the landing is on a dirt field that normally serves as a pasture for cattle that need to be herded off prior to landing. And that comes after flying into cloud covered mountains looking for an opening large enough to see the runway. One of our Safety Professionals will conduct a preliminary site visit, then work with you to develop a detailed plan of action.
